Where we are & what comes next

We want to give the RepoRank community a realistic update on where the project currently stands, what we've learned over the past months, and how we see the future unfolding.

There has been a lot happening behind the scenes — both technically and strategically — and it's important that expectations are aligned properly as we continue building.

Launchpad Progress

The RepoRank launchpad infrastructure is functional today using a $SOL base pair.

However, the native $REPO base pair requires an SDK update from Meteora before it can function correctly. Because the $REPO token was originally launched via Pump, there are integration issues that need to be resolved on the infrastructure side before the experience works the way we expect it to.

This is actively being worked on, but we do not currently have a confirmed timeline for completion.

Alongside this, the current platform still contains various bugs and unfinished areas. While parts of the technology work, the reality is the product is not yet in the final state required to become the launchpad we believe RepoRank can be.

Funding & Support

We have spent the last few months exploring funding opportunities and speaking with different ecosystem participants.

We applied for funding through Superteam and are currently awaiting a decision.

We also had positive conversations with the Solana Foundation. While they were supportive of the concept, the feedback was ultimately that the product needs to mature further before they could proceed at this stage.

We view this as constructive feedback, not a setback.

Conversations With Builders

We've spoken with multiple developers and founders about launching through RepoRank.

The feedback has been consistent:

  • Some teams want to wait for stronger market conditions.
  • Others want to see the launchpad fully operational before committing.
  • Many understand the vision immediately, but want to see further refinement of the product and user experience.

We believe this feedback is fair.

The concept of helping open-source developers and product builders tokenize their work is something we still strongly believe in. We can clearly see a future where RepoRank becomes a platform that works closely with high-quality builders to help launch serious projects in a more aligned and transparent way.

But conviction alone is not enough. Execution matters.

The Reality

We believe RepoRank is close to genuine product-market fit.

But getting from "working technology" to a serious, competitive launchpad requires significantly more than simply deploying code.

The platform needs:

  • a redesigned and more polished user experience,
  • improved infrastructure,
  • better onboarding flows,
  • stronger stability,
  • more capital support,
  • and time to mature properly.

Right now, RepoRank works well as a directory and discovery platform, but it is not yet where it needs to be to compete at the highest level as a fully-fledged launchpad.

Rushing that process would be a mistake.

Looking Forward

The last thing we want to do is create unrealistic expectations that eventually lead to disappointment.

Building meaningful products — especially in crypto — takes time, iteration, capital and patience.

We are still here.
We are still building.
And we still believe deeply in the long-term vision behind RepoRank.

Our focus now is simple: improve the product, strengthen the foundation, continue listening to feedback and position RepoRank properly for the future rather than forcing timelines that the product is not ready for.

We appreciate everyone who has continued to support the project, provide feedback and stay patient while we work through this stage of development.

The vision remains the same.

We just want to make sure we execute it properly.
